Walk-ins before eleven
Two chairs, no appointment system
We tried booking software for a year and went back to a notebook. Turn up, put your name down, and go for a coffee — we will text you when the chair is free.
Saturday club, six until whenever
Three groups leave the shop every Saturday morning and nobody gets dropped. The slowest group has a mechanic riding sweep with a spare tube and a pump.
Coffee at the halfway point is on the shop for anyone riding their first one.
Raw denim
Do not wash them for six months
Unsanforised, unwashed, and stiff enough to stand up on their own for the first fortnight. The creases you end up with are yours and nobody else's.
Eye tests, Tuesdays
Frames you can put your own lenses in
Bring a prescription from anywhere and we will glaze the frame. Bring an old pair you love and we will reglaze that instead, which is usually cheaper.
Fitted in the room it will live in
Nothing here is flat-packed. We measure on site, build in the workshop and fit in a day, scribing to whatever the wall actually does rather than what it should.
