Delivery and installation
What happens between you clicking buy and the machine being plumbed in.
Will you take my old machine away?
Free on every delivery, and we recycle it properly — 94% of an old washing machine ends up back in the supply chain.
Do you install as well as deliver?
Yes, on the same visit. Gas appliances need a Gas Safe slot, which we book separately and never charge extra for.
What if it doesn't fit?
Measure the aperture and the doorway before you order. If it genuinely won't go in, we take it back free within 14 days.
How long is the guarantee?
Two years as standard, five on anything in our own-brand range, parts and labour both.

Choosing
Which set suits a five-year-old?
Anything in the 200–500 piece range. Below that they finish it in a morning; above, they need help and lose interest.
Are the sets compatible with other brands?
Yes — standard stud spacing throughout, so it all clips together with what's already in the toy box.
Missing pieces
A brick is missing from the box.
Tell us the set number and the part number from the manual and it's posted the same day, free.
Can I buy spare bricks in bulk?
Yes, by weight, in eight colours. Handy for schools and for anyone rebuilding something from scratch.
Allergens and diets
Straight answers, because guessing isn't good enough where allergies are concerned.
Do you list every allergen?
All fourteen, on every dish, on the menu itself rather than a separate folder you have to ask for.
Is the kitchen nut free?
No, and we won't claim otherwise. We can cook a nut-free dish on cleaned surfaces, but there are nuts in the building.
Can you do coeliac-safe?
Yes — separate prep area, separate fryer, separate toaster. Tell us when you book so the section is set up.
Are there vegan options every day?
At least three starters and three mains, and they change with the veg box rather than sitting on the menu all year.
Commissioning a painting
How the process runs, what it costs and what happens if it isn't right.
How does a commission start?
A conversation and a deposit of a third. We sketch two directions before anything goes on canvas.
How long does one take?
Six to fourteen weeks depending on size and how much oil needs to dry between layers. We never rush that part.
What if I don't like it?
You see it at two stages and can redirect at either. If the finished piece still isn't right, we keep it and refund the balance.
Do you ship framed work abroad?
Yes, crated and insured. Framed canvases over a metre travel unstretched and are restretched at the other end.
Before you buy the headphones
Pairing, batteries, cables and what we'll give you for your old pair.
Do the headphones work wired?
Yes, with the included 3.5mm cable, and they'll play passively with a flat battery — useful on a long flight.
How many devices can pair at once?
Two, simultaneously. Answer a call on your phone and it drops the laptop audio, then hands it straight back.
Can the battery be replaced?
By us, for £29, in about a week. It's a screwed assembly rather than glued, so it doesn't need destroying to open.
Is there a trade-in?
Any working pair of over-ears, any brand, gets you £40 off. We refurbish what we can and recycle the rest.
