Every piece here was thrown on the wheel upstairs, dried for a fortnight, bisque fired, glazed by hand and fired again. Nothing is bought in.
Six mornings on the point
September's beginner course, shot between sets. Nobody in these photographs had stood on a board before the Monday.
Flowers for the parts of the day nobody photographs
Buttonholes at seven in the morning, the church at nine, a long table at four. Grown within thirty miles of the studio wherever the season allows.
Four completed, two still on site
Housing, a swimming pool and a small civic library — mostly in cities where the budget was the interesting part of the brief.
Everyone who came in this month
Full groom, bath and blast, or just a nail trim and a biscuit. Portraits taken afterwards, while they are still pleased with themselves.
